Mobile World Congress: and the winner is…

Last updated: 20 March 2014

The biggest mobile phone conference in the world 2013 has drawn to a close. For those who were following our blog closely, you’ll have seen we were running a friendly competition to see which blogger’s Q&A could garner the most views.

The questions these influential industry enthusiasts put to our experts ranged from NFC and mobile banking, to mobile advertising becoming the predominant monetization mechanism, and even touching on mobile health.

In fact, the range of topics covered goes some way towards showing the breadth of mobile-enabled touch points on display at Mobile World Congress last week. However, there can be only one winner, which this year is Jeb Brilliant of The Mobile Perspective. His question focused on how NFC could be elevated to make the consumer’s life easier as a whole, which is what we were encouraging with the NFC Experience.

The runners-up are Simon Judge and Zack Martin, who nonetheless sparked some great debate during MWC on topics such as mobile ID. Thanks too go to the other bloggers who participated in this year’s Q&A at Mobile World Congress, including Jon Choo and Ric Ferraro.

Jeb will win a prize which he can share with you via his social media channels, dear readers, and for those who missed Mobile World Congress but who’d like a recap and a glimpse of the Gemalto stand, be sure to check out conversations in the blogosphere, as well as the GSMA’s MWC13 show wrap-up video.
