Alex is currently the Regional Director in Identity and Data Protection (IDP) for the ASEAN region. He joined Gemalto in 2015 to lead the IDP team in bringing enterprise security solutions to the market. His strong background in data and security management solutions across the ASEAN region help enterprises across various verticals to take a data centric approach to security by utilizing innovative encryption methods, best-in-class crypto management techniques and strong authentication and identity management techniques to protect what matters and where it matters. Prior to joining Gemalto, he was holding senior position at Sun Microsystems, Oracle and Symantec. Alex earned his bachelor's degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore. He is also the first Vice Chairman of the 1st ever Singapore Triathlon 1984 in Singapore.
