Jean-Francois Rubon is Director for Strategy & Partnerships within Gemalto’s Mobile Services & IoT business unit. Based in France, he is responsible for defining strategy for embedded security, 5G and establishing technology partnerships between Gemalto and players in the mobile ecosystem. With more than 10 years with Gemalto, Jean-Francois has held various roles with the Telecommunication team related to innovation, product management, R&D, standardization and partnerships. Prior to Gemalto, Jean-Francois worked with several French telecommunication equipment companies and led the development of several mobile products, while contributing to ETSI and 3GPP work on GSM/3G air interface standardization. Jean-Francois holds an MSc in Computer Science from the National Institute for Applied Sciences (INSA) in Rennes, France.

The opportunities that 5G is bringing cannot be undermined by lack of security. We must proactively address security concerns, to protect the network and maintain trust and reliability for consumers.
