The biggest technology gathering in the Middle East region is now only days away. From Sunday, GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) will open its doors to over 130,000 delegates from across the world.
As well as Gemalto, tech giants such as Accenture, SAP and Cisco will all be in attendance, showcasing the latest products from their innovation production line. Some of the key trends from last year’s event are likely to be noticeable again, with cloud computing and social media still sure to be high on the agenda. But other areas, particularly M2M (or ‘the internet of things’), look set to play a bigger role in this year’s GITEX.
Whether you’re at the conference yourself or following developments remotely, there’s sure to be plenty to pique your interest over the coming day. Last year’s surprise guest was hip-hop star 50 Cent, so who knows who or what might arrive this time around.
And if you fancy your own little taste of the high-life, you could be in luck. For a chance to win an iPad mini, simply tweet us (@Gemalto) with your thoughts on life-changing technology and which one of our demonstrations you find most intriguing.
