Barcelona is an incredible city, filled with culture, restaurants, galleries and bars. With Mobile World Congress moments away, we thought we’d put together a short list of relevant industry events to attend as well as a few selections of where to eat and drink after a busy day at the show.

INDUSTRY EVENTS

Sunday 21st

Mobile World Congress Welcoming Party
19:00-22:00
The Apps Alliance and CTIA kick-off the show with a night of drinks, tapas and networking at popular bar and restaurant Marmalade.

Mobile Sunday 2016
18:00-22:00
Tech.eu hosts hundreds of mobile innovators, investors and journalists from around the world for an evening of talks, pitches, and panels. Highly recommended.

Get a glimpse into many innovative products that will be showcased at the show.

Monday 22nd

IoT Stars
18:00-22:00
IoT Stars is an IoT startup pitching event where 12 entrants will compete in front of a top-notch jury at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm.

Nintendo GAME ON! – Splash Party
21:30-Late
Perhaps a little boisterous for a Monday, but if you’d like to finish of day 1 at a party, head on down to Sutton Club, Calle Tuset 13

Tuesday 23rd

DrinkEntrepreneurs Special MWC 2016 Edition
19:00-Late
Join 200+ entrepreneurs for a special MWC edition of local DrinkEntrepreneurs Meetup. The perfect place to start the night and meet with fellow entrepreneurs and startups.

Mobile Apps Party

The Mobile Apps Party is an all-out celebration of all things apps, welcoming mobile industry leaders for a night of drinks, food, and networking in Barcelona at the W Hotel.

Wednesday 24th

4YFN Closing Party
20:00-Late
4 Years From Now, a start-up community deeply involved with MWC, hosts its closing party at the Sala Apolo. This promises to be a fun night to conclude your MWC 2016.

TechCrunch MeetUp and PitchOff 2016
19:00-22:00
A chance to get in touch with TechCrunch writers to pitch your ideas or company. You’ll be joined by 200 others for a fun night of networking.

Swedish Beers
18:30-Late
Loosen your tie and leave your business cards at the hotel – just kick back, relax and enjoy some no frills mobile networking with Swedish Beers.

RESTAURANTS

Bodega 1900
Highly recommended tapas, but do book in advance! Styled as an old-school restaurant of the early 20th century with innovative and contemporary dishes.

Caballa Canalla
Offers a varied and extensive menu of tapas, sampling dishes, cocottes and paellas served in helpings that let you taste several dishes in a single meal.

Koy Shunka
Barcelona has incredible seafood, so why not indulge in a little sushi whilst your there.

Taller de Tapas
A very reputable chain of tapas restaurants that will no doubt have a restaurant near your hotel.
