This week the Gemalto team heads to the 19th annual South by Southwest Interactive(SXSWi) festival in my hometown of Austin, Texas. We will be there from March 9th to the 13th hosting the IdeaNext lounge (check out http://www.ideanext-gemalto.com/home for all the details).
Though many think of music, film, and media when they think of SXSW, the event is also the premiere place for technological ideas, innovations, and relationships to come together. We’re expecting to hear from the best and brightest minds in startup and emerging technologies, and learn about the newest innovations in mobile, web, identity, security, video games, and much more.
Of the thousands of events at the festival, we’re really looking forward to the Big Data Track. The panels on this track bring together analysts, journalists, and leading industry executives to discuss emerging technologies and security considerations for big data. Topics are set to include mobile payments, cloud computing security, enterprise privacy and social networks. What are the possibilities and pitfalls of all of these big data technologies? We’ll find out!
