Innovation is something we value immensely at Gemalto, which is why we’re delighted that our Machine-to-Machine (M2M) unit Cinterion has been recognized for its fantastic work in smart grid deployments.
Smart-Grid.TMCnet.com has announced that our EU3 M2M module won a 2011 Smart Grid Excellence Award, rewarding innovative technologies within a very competitive industry. M2M Now recently blogged on the importance of M2M communications, highlighting the fact it is considered one of the three most powerful trends in telecoms and IT to be reckoned with in 2012, alongside cloud computing and mobile enterprise. 
By enabling increased coverage areas for reliable and high-speed communications even in very remote locations on both 2G and 3G, we hope that EU3 will continue to set the standard for M2M technology investments now and in the future.
