This week, the IoT innovator community celebrated the start of the 4th IoT/M2M Innovation World Cup, a global competition with the aim of supporting and incentivising IoT/M2M innovators to create game-changing solutions that could, ultimately, improve our world and be successful on the market.
Since the kick-off event at the M2M Forum in Milan (pictured above) on April 28th, breakthrough ideas for using M2M to enable some aspect of Smart Manufacturing, Mobility, Smart Cities, Security, Healthcare and Connected Homes are now being sought after.
We all hope that once again, this innovation competition will result in brilliant solutions coming to market, like one of last year’s winners: ONKÖL, a health and home communications hub for families and caregivers, which accommodates a wide variety of home and health sensors from multiple vendors, and then communicates that information to family, caregivers, and platforms used by medical professionals. It’s this type of idea that could change the game and take the market by storm. And we hope that next idea could be from you – especially if you’re quick enough to enter soon, as we’re giving away some of our Cinterion Concept Boards (on a first come, first served basis to those who qualify) to entrants who are keen for support from our expert team. As a sponsor, we’re here to help those who want to create the next big idea in the IoT world by providing SDKs; so, if you’re interested, you’d best get in touch soon!
And don’t forget, we’ll be more than ready to help as this isn’t our first rodeo – we were involved in the World Cup last year and, as followers of this blog will know, we even ran our own IoTMaker Challenge recently – read our interview with the winner here to help your IoT inspiration along.
Furthermore, if you needed any more incentive to get involved, the winners will be invited to an awards ceremony at MWC 2016 in Barcelona next year, where you could meet a range of the best IoT/M2M minds in the world. So, what are you waiting for? Register here now, and let us know when you have. We’ll be keeping an eye out. And don’t forget to let us know what you think of the completion by tweeting to us @Gemalto. Good luck to all!
