Mobile World Congress, arguably the biggest event in the tech calendar, is just a few weeks away. Drawing over 70,000 of the brightest minds from around the globe to display and discuss the next big thing in mobile. We’re expecting to see a lot on wearables, tablets, iterative improvements to last year’s Smartphones, more movement in NFC, connected cars and more… but this post isn’t about our predictions for MWC15, it’s about YOUR predictions for MWC25!
This year happens to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future – and the year into which Marty McFly and Doc Emmett Brown travelled in Back to the Future 2. They didn’t get everything right in the film – and we’ll write more on that in the weeks ahead – but the vision of the future they had for 2015 was compelling.
But how will things look in another next ten years? With this in mind we’re launching our Mobile 2025 Challenge to unearth the best futuristic predictions from around the web. We’d love to receive your ideas. Will humans be connected to the Internet of Things by permanent wearables, like a microchip? Will advertising be totally personalized and targeted, based on computer technology that reads your desires?
- Come up with your own prediction. Whether you have a one line concept or a more detailed vision of the future, we want to hear about it. If you have more than one idea, don’t worry – you can enter as many times as you like.
- Submit your idea to us through whatever channel you prefer. Tweet it (including @gemalto and the hashtag #MWC25), email it (to gemalto@brands2life.com), leave a comment on the blog – it’s totally up to you.
- Do it before March 6th
The most creative five ideas will win a Lego Cuusoo Back To the Future Delorean Set.
