MWC influencers

Mobile World Congress has already had some standout announcements with the new Samsung and LG phones and a big push around virtual reality. But with so many products and announcements happening over the next few days, it can be a bit tricky to understand what’s making waves at the show.

To this end, we thought we’d share a list of influencers, companies and media to keep track of in Barcelona:

Influencers

Benedict Evans
Analyst at Andreessen Horowitz, Benedict has been commentating on mobile for over 15 years.

Pierre Metivier
Contactless evangelist, Pierre is a blogger, speaker, consultant with a focus on NFC and the IoT.

Ina Fried
Reporter for Re/code, Ina is a veteran technology reporter, always bringing insight on the industry.

Helen Keegan
Mobile marketing expert, who has organized events at MWC for years. She’s in Barcelona tweeting on all the latest innovations.

Companies

Oculus
A huge part of MWC this year as virtual reality looks set to steal the show.

Samsung
The company just launched its latest phones, and promoted their VR capabilities with a speech at their press conference with Mark Zuckerberg who spoke on their Oculus partnership.

LG and Sony
Both companies brought new phones and new technology to the show, each receiving widespread press interest.
