Last year a survey showed that security is still the number #1 barrier to cloud adoption. We’re pleased to share the news that, this year, more firms are moving to the cloud. This is according to a report by the Ponemon Institute, released to coincide with Infosecurity in London.
However, security fears still flourish about moving sensitive or confidential data into public cloud services. The Financial Times recently published a series of questions that cloud storage providers need to be able to answer to ensure cloud security and data sovereignty, a concept which states that information which is stored in digital form is subject to the laws of the country in which the storage is located, means that there is no one size fits all solution either.
This is why it’s more important than ever to highlight when organizations do take measures to protect cloud security and one example is French cloud service provider SFR Business Team.
